1. Introduction to lifting piles
Lifting piles (also known as lifting ground columns, anti-collision lifting columns) are a type of traffic management equipment that can be controlled to rise and fall. They are mainly used to restrict vehicle traffic, ensure regional safety, and take into account flexible management needs. Its core functions include:
Safety protection: prevent vehicles from forcibly breaking into sensitive areas (such as pedestrian streets, squares, schools, government agencies, etc.).
Intelligent management: automatic control through remote control, license plate recognition, APP or linkage security system.
Traffic diversion: open or close roads at specific times to optimize traffic flow.
Beautiful design: hidden installation, does not damage the overall aesthetics of the ground.
Common types:
Hydraulic lifting pile: strong bearing capacity (up to 5 tons or more), fast lifting speed, suitable for high-frequency, high-safety demand places.
Electric lifting pile: simple structure, easy maintenance, suitable for light vehicle control.
Pneumatic lifting pile: low cost, but weak collision resistance, mostly used in temporary places.
Manual lifting pile: no electricity required, economical, but requires manual operation.
2. How to choose a lifting pile?
When choosing a lifting pile, you need to consider the use scenario, safety, budget and maintenance cost. The following are the key factors:
Use scenario
High-security places (such as military bases and airports): choose hydraulic lifting piles, and the collision resistance level must reach B7 or above (can withstand truck impact).
Entrances and exits of commercial areas/community areas: electric lifting piles, with license plate recognition or remote control.
Temporary control (event venue): pneumatic or manual lifting piles can be selected for easy disassembly.
Load-bearing and collision resistance
Ordinary places: load-bearing 1~3 tons (electric model).
Heavy vehicle area: load-bearing 5 tons or more (hydraulic model), must be certified by international standards (such as UK PAS 68).
Control method
Basic model: remote control.
Intelligent requirements: network control (APP, IC card, face recognition, etc.), support linkage with parking system.
Material and durability
Shell material: stainless steel (304 or 316) is corrosion-resistant and suitable for outdoor use; carbon steel needs to be rust-proofed.
Waterproof level: IP68 can be immersed for a long time, a must for humid areas.
Lifting speed and frequency
The lifting speed of hydraulic piles is usually 0.5~3 seconds. High-speed models are required for high-frequency use (such as toll stations)
Budget and maintenance
Hydraulic piles are expensive but have a long life (more than 10 years), and electric piles are easier to maintain.
Ask the manufacturer whether it provides motor/hydraulic pump warranty service (recommended warranty of more than 3 years).
Installation conditions
The pre-buried depth must be ≥1 meter to ensure a stable foundation; there is no pipeline interference underground.
Reserve drainage design to prevent water accumulation from damaging the motor.
3. Recommended brands
High-end brands: FAAC (Italy), Bollard (UK), Rising Bollard (professional hydraulic pile).
Cost-effective brands: Shenzhen Keanxin (electric pile), Beijing Zhongtian Ji’an (intelligent linkage model) and some China Brands
Summary: Balance performance and cost according to actual needs, and give priority to suppliers with complete anti-collision certification and perfect after-sales service. If 24-hour uninterrupted use is required, it is recommended to equip with a backup power supply (such as UPS).
